    Will this fit a 2836 3000kv out runner motor with a 3.17mm shaft ?

    Unfortunately the motor it mounts is a 3658 with a 5mm shaft. Yours seems smaller and would not catch with the fixing holes.

    Hi, do you know if we can use this 9 blades on the 12 blades unit who is already installed on the yellow freewing avanti s ? thanks for the reply, best regards

    The problen I ran into.was that the 9 blade 80mm fan I bought was for an inrunner motor and the 11 blade in my MiG-21 is an outrunner. So you might need a motor and use the entire new EDF.

    Yes if you have the Avanti S Yellow with the 12 blade 1850Kv edf unit, the 9 blade rotor is a direct fit. The 9 blade edf unit uses the 1900Kv motor so you may not see a boost in performance.

                            I used this to replace the much heavier metal stock shroud on my older FW jets. Saves 48g in weight.

As I have the older outrunner 9-blade, this one is correct for replacement and available for little money. To my pleasant surprise the finish is excellent, fitting it was very simple and no further balancing of the fan was needed. Happy flying days again!
